Can I take oxycodone and ultram together?

I’ve got an abcessed wisdom tooth and am in extreme pain. My doctor gave me 50 mg tabs of ultram but they’re not touching the pain anymore. I have some oxycodone and am thinking of taking them together to hopefully ease the pain however I don’t want to do anything harmful but the pain is unbearable, help!

Actually it is safe to take them both together. My boyfriend is prescribed both medications for chronic pain.

if the ultram isnt working…. take the oxycodone.
take one, and no more and wait. it will work.
you do not need both at the same time
i agree with Geri, take one or the other, but not both. If Ultram isn’t working, take the oxycodone, but only at the recommended dose on your bottle label
