A migraine headache can cause intense throbbing or pulsing in one area of the head and is commonly accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can cause significant pain for hours to days and be so severe that all you can think about is finding a dark, quiet place to lie down.

Some migraines are preceded or accompanied by sensory warning symptoms (aura), such as flashes of light, blind spots or tingling in your arm or leg.

Medications can help reduce the frequency and severity of migraines. If treatment hasn't worked for you in the past, talk to your doctor about trying a different migraine headache medication. The right medicines, combined with self-help remedies and lifestyle changes, may make a tremendous difference.

If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help. Massage and exercise in front of morning sun is good thing, please try. Please try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief. If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER, sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

If it is acute please search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds. For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

Tylenol in combo with some caffeine(soda or small cup of regular coffee). Or if you have some Excedrin on hand that's pretty much the same thing.

If you have a migraine. Dim all lights in the house, sound too and put a heating pad on.

Hi
People always try and answer questions such as this will lotions, exercises, massage or alike.

Although these are all good remedies one of the important things to mention is how you use your back throughout the day to prevent this from happening or your condition deteriorating.
Make sure you are not aggravating your back at work. Your employee has the legal obligation to protect your health and safety which includes your back.

If you're lifting heavy items, doing repetitive tasks, driving long distances or sitting for prolonged periods in the same position you may add to the injury you have caused. Ensure you have the precautions in place to protect the posture of your back.

As much as i'm sure you hate to hear it but you really should go and get Xrayed or at least a quick examination just to be sure of no internal damage to your spine.
I also am epileptic and had been walking around with splitting headaches and a fractured skull for nearly 2 weeks.
I know what you mean by hating hospitals but thank God they are there.
Go on be brave

Ultram is tramadol and is very similar to a narcotic. You cannot buy it without a prescription. Read about it here.
